North Maluku will become an eclipse destination 2016. Aside then Ternate, Tidore and also Maba, you can also choose a few other cities. One of them is Kao, a small coastal town on the eastern Indonesian island of Halmahera. It is located in the North Halmahera Regency, part of the province of North Maluku.

TSE 2016 in Ternate – Tidore
The best view for Total Solar Eclipse 2016 will be from North Maluku as weather prospect is better comparing to Sulawesi, Borneo or Sumatera. Ternate will become the first gate to reach this province either by air or sea. From here you can choose to stay and watch the eclipse from Ternate or moving to another city such as Jailolo, Tidore, Kao, Buli, Sofifi or Maba.

During the Total Solar Eclipse 9 March 2016, Halmahera, the largest island in North Maluku will be the best place for viewing the totality as it will have the longest duration and the best weather prospects. Maba, the city in East Halmahera will be the perfect choice for totality as the centerline will pass through this city. And this is the last land base location for viewing the totality from Indonesia. The next one is Woleai atoll in Micronesia.

Next year, Indonesia will experience Total Solar Eclipse as its totality path pass over Indonesia. And the totality will also visible from Poso in Central Sulawesi.

Sore tanggal 7 April, tim Famtrip Survei Gerhana Matahari 2016 bersama Kementrian Pariwisata tiba di Ternate dan langsung menuju Hotel Bela Internasional.
